Clank. Working Progress

26 Mar

While in my own time, I decided I was going to make one of my favorite video game character, Clank. I have used an blue prints or schematics as reference to make him, the only reference I have are various images of him on the internet. So far I have created hi head, torso and half of an arm. The head was the most difficult part so far, trying to create the jaw while keeping it in scale with the rest of the head. So far clank consists of 3594 triangles.

Generic Male Body

24 Mar

This is my first attempt at character modeling. I decided to go with something simple, and create a generic male body. I found some blueprints to use a reference images and used them to mode the character upon. Progress on the body has been paused until i have finished my Final Major Project in college. So at the moment the character is lacking a head and hands, until I am able to carry on.

The render below has been used with mesh-smooth applied to the character, to give it a more organic look. So far the character is made up of 10,018 triangles.

My bedroom 3DS Max Replica

24 Mar

This image is a render of my bedroom that i replicated in 3DS Max. After finally converting the image to a JPEG, its finally up.This was one of my first Units I was set in college, the task was to create a scene of our choice, with the option of texturing it. To create my bedroom, the first thing I did was to photograph my bedroom and use that photo as a reference to creating the scene. My main focus on my scene was to get it to closely resemble my bedroom as much as possible, meaning I wanted realistic textures.Nearly all the textures used in my bedroom scene are photographs of the actual object in my bedroom.

The Entire Scene Consists of 2001 Triangles

Benihime

24 Mar

This is a model of a ‘Zanpakto’ from the anime series, Bleach. The Zanpakto is called Benihime and this model is made up of 2 parts, (excluding golden chain), the hilt and the blade. To get Benihime to this finished standard, it took me approximately 4 hours

The hilt consists of 470 Triangles. The blade consists of 20

LF-37 Sniper Rifle

24 Mar

This is a sniper rifle i decided to make in my own time. I was inspired by the VC 32 Sniper rifle off of the game Killzone. As such, there are elements of the VC32 within my design. To give my sniper rifle that Sci-Fi look about it, i decided to alter the looks that would not normally be seen in older weapons. For example, the crooked scope that sticks out to the left of the rifle. As well as the rear mounted magazine and firing mechanism, to show that perhaps this rifle does not use conventional methods to fire its projectiles.

Total of 4836 Triangles. Although work on this sniper rifle has not been finished as i realise it can be neatened up and have a lower triangle count

Alien Real Time Strategy Buildings

24 Mar

This Gallery of 3D Models, are of Low Poly RTS buildings I was required to make as one of the projects in college. The task was to create Low Poly building that could be used in an RTS game. I chose to theme my building around Sci-Fi and aliens. Each of of these building are under 1500 Triangles. Even the city, made up of 4 building is still under 1500 Triangles. My plans for these building was to keep any textures I made to a set colour scheme and theme, which I chose to be Grey Metal and Blue
